On Saturday, Cooper's Pointe in Cherokee Village was filled with enthusiasm and positive energy from attendees of the Ozarka College Foundation Casino Night. Sharp County residents and supporters delighted in this third annual signature event and record-breaking fundraiser. Guests enjoyed an assortment of hors d´oeuvres over the course of the evening catered by Kelly Harrison. Casino games included bingo, blackjack, craps, let it ride, three card poker, and roulette where guests' winnings were exchanged for chances to enter the event's raffle drawings.
In addition to a night of casino play, guests participated in a silent auction comprised of prizes like one-of-a-kind pieces of art by local artists, limited edition whiskies, gift certificates, wine bundles, and more! Auction winners were announced at the end of the evening as guests cashed in their winnings for extra chances in the raffles. Most importantly, money was raised to support students and programs at the Ozarka Ash Flat campus and Carpenter Technical Center.
"The College and Foundation are extremely grateful for the outpouring of support from the Sharp County community," said Dr. Josh Wilson, Ozarka College vice president of advancement. "The Casino Night's success is a testament to Sharp County's commitment to uplifting those in their community through education. "
