Dennis Wiles Receives Recognition for Ozarka College Board Service

Dennis Wiles, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas was recently recognized for his fourteen years of service as an Ozarka College Trustee, a governor appointed position.
Dr. Richard Dawe, Ozarka president commented; "I am personally thankful for Mr. Wiles' leadership, support and guidance during his 14 years as a trustee and two terms as our Board Chair, " said Dr. Richard Dawe, president of Ozarka College. "He made our college more effective in our service to students throughout our service region; and we are very grateful! "
During his years of service, Trustee Wiles oversaw many advances to college academic programs and expansion into the Fulton County service area. He also provided leadership during multiple expansion projects including the Mountain View Student Center, Melbourne Student Services Center, and the Carpenter Technical Center in Ash Flat. Most notably, Mr. Wiles was instrumental in Ozarka's acquisition of on-campus student housing. In 2018, his colleagues acknowledged his critical role in the project with the naming of the Dennis R. Wiles Student Housing.
"It has been an honor and a privilege to serve on the Ozarka Board of Trustees for the past 14 years, " said Wiles.
Recently, Dennis retired from his position as Executive Director of White River Regional Housing Authority (WRRHA). Wiles was a dedicated member of the agency for 41 years. Dennis and his wife Wanda reside in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. They have two children: son, Dr. Jason Wiles and his wife, Sara of Syracuse, New York; and daughter, Jennifer Mullen and her husband, Mike of Rogers, Arkansas. They also have three grandchildren, Sydney, Dayton, and Chloe.
