Ozarka welcomes Candice Shaver as the new Career Advisor for the Carl D. Perkins grant program in Student Services.
"We are delighted to have Candice join us as the Career Advisor for Ozarka," said Zeda Wilkerson, vice president of student services. "Candice's enthusiasm for helping students navigate their career paths will aid students in reaching their greatest potential."
"I am so excited to have the opportunity to help students achieve their academic and career goals; my office, located in the Student Success Suite, is always open and I welcome anyone to come visit me with any questions or concerns they are facing during their journey here at Ozarka," said Shaver.
A native of Poinsett County, Shaver now has planted roots in Izard County where she enjoys spending time with her family fishing and boating and taking advantage of all the beautiful campgrounds the area has to offer. Much of Candice's passion for technical education at two-year colleges stems from her own experience while obtaining her Associate of Arts degree. Shaver also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration.
