Ozarka College is proud to recognize local employees who recently completed the Tier 1 HVAC Service Training. The 36-hour program met twice a week for six weeks on the Melbourne campus, providing hands-on instruction and technical knowledge in gas furnace and heat pump systems to help prepare area service technicians for the upcoming cold-weather season. Companies that participated in this training include NAISS, Foster Heating and Cooling, and CM Morris, Inc.
"We are proud to work alongside our local industry partners to provide relevant, hands-on training right here in our communities," said Dr. Josh Wilson, Ozarka College President. "Short-term technical programs like this are essential for helping employers develop and upskill their workforce, ensuring they can continue to meet the demands of a rapidly changing industry landscape."
Instructor Roger Parsons designed the training curriculum to strengthen the local workforce by offering practical, short-term learning opportunities that support both new and experienced technicians. Participants gained valuable experience in system operation, diagnostics, and maintenance procedures, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet customer needs during the winter months.
"Ozarka College is committed to providing industry-relevant training that meets the needs of our regional workforce," said Dawsyn Cole, director of Workforce Development. "Programs like this help local employees expand their skills and create stronger service capacity within our communities."
Ozarka College congratulates these employees on their accomplishments and looks forward to continuing to offer training opportunities that support local industry and economic growth.
