Ozarka College is pleased to announce that Dr. Josh Wilson has been selected as a Peer Reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), a significant achievement that recognizes his expertise and dedication to higher education quality standards. Dr. Wilson's appointment reflects the high standards required by HLC, which includes extensive experience in higher education leadership, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a demonstrated understanding of accreditation standards.
"Dr. Wilson is a prefect selection to join the HLC Peer Review Corps, " said Dr. Richard Dawe, Ozarka College president. "His participation will result in considerable awareness for Ozarka and serve many institutions in Higher Ed. Very deserving of this highly selective honor! "
Peer Reviewers for HLC play a critical role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of higher education institutions across the United States. They conduct institutional evaluations for accreditation, reviewing institutional processes, resources, and practices to verify compliance with HLC standards. Peer Reviewers evaluate both on-campus and online learning environments, ensuring that institutions offer rigorous, effective educational programs that promote student success and align with the Commission's standards of academic quality, integrity, and accountability.
Selection as an HLC Peer Reviewer is a rigorous process that requires candidates to possess a comprehensive understanding of higher education operations, policies, and accreditation processes. Dr. Wilson was selected based on his demonstrated leadership, in-depth knowledge of institutional assessment, and commitment to academic excellence at Ozarka College.
"Being chosen to serve with the Peer Corps is a true honor," Dr. Wilson shared. "I am looking forward to supporting other institutions in their efforts to meet high academic and operational standards while continuing to apply what I learn to support Ozarka College in its commitment to quality and continuous improvement."
As a Peer Reviewer, Dr. Wilson will have the opportunity to support other higher education institutions in their accreditation processes, share best practices, and gain insights that will further benefit Ozarka College's mission to provide accessible, high-quality education for all students. His involvement also highlights Ozarka College's dedication to academic quality and strengthens its connection to national standards in higher education.
