
Ozarka College is announcing a search for our next Skilled Trades Faculty. This individual, acting under the direction of the Division Chair of Applied Science and Technology and, ultimately, the College Provost, will be responsible for creating industry-informed and innovative instruction of basic construction and plumbing skills curriculum as part of the Skilled Trades technical certificate.
The ideal candidate should be able to teach in the areas of safety, measurement, blueprint interpretation, basic construction, and basic plumbing. The Skilled Trades Faculty will provide high-quality instruction and maintain a positive, safe learning environment for students that will prepare them for successful entry into the workforce. Additional responsibilities include course development, learning assessment, participation in campus committees and activities, student mentorship, and, other duties as assigned.
This is a nine-month position with a required teaching load of fifteen (15) credit hours per regular academic semester, and will primarily include teaching assignments at Ozarka’s technical lab in Mountain View, but may include assignments at other locations as needed.
