Gault Earns Pilot Certificate

Cody Gault is officially a pilot! On January 25, 2018, Cody, who resides in Salem, completed his check ride while traveling from Melbourne, AR (42A) to Omaha, NE (KOMA). At the conclusion of this flight, he completed his practical examination and earned his Private Pilot Certificate. He was required to complete a knowledge test as well as a practical examination consisting of an extensive oral exam and demonstration flight with an FAA approved Designated Pilot Examiner. In addition to this achievement, Cody also holds an Associate degree in Aviation - Professional Pilot from Ozarka College.
When asked about the experience, Cody said, "It was exhilarating! " He added, "Going into it, I had never been more nervous, but the moment that my instructor looked at me and said, "Congratulations, you're a pilot' is a moment I will remember for the rest of my life. " Cody's career plans include flying corporate for a company such as Walmart or Fedex.
"Cody has worked hard to achieve his Private Pilot's certificate, " said John Catlett, Ozarka College director of aviation. "He has the skill and dedication to be a great commercial pilot. " Upon completion of Ozarka's FAA approved Part 141 flight school, students have the opportunity to transfer to Henderson State University (HSU) in Arkadelphia, Arkansas or University of Central Missouri (UCM) in Warrensburg, Missouri.
