In 2013, with the support of local sales tax funding provided by the citizens of Melbourne, the Ozarka College Board of Trustees issued approximately $2.9 million in revenue bonds backed by student tuition and fees to finance construction of a Student Services Center on the Melbourne campus.
The Student Services Center will:
become the signature building on campus;
support recruitment efforts and help Ozarka College compete more effectively with other colleges in attracting new students;
support retention of current Ozarka College students;
significantly enhance the Ozarka College experience by serving as a hub of campus activity;
serve as a location for meetings and special events for community groups and individuals;
offer small businesses and corporations throughout the region access to leading-edge technology and conference facilities;
provide students and campus visitors with an enhanced dining experience; and
send a message to the community, state and region that Ozarka College, known for providing life-changing experiences through education, is setting a new standard for outstanding student service.
