Fall Semester Start Date Postponed

Published on August 5, 2020

Ozarka College has moved the start date for the Fall 2020 semester to August 24. In an attempt to make the transition back to the classroom easier, Ozarka's decision will allow faculty and staff more time to prepare for students to return to campus and will more closely align with our area high schools' reopening schedules.   The only exceptions to this change are the Aviation program, which will begin as scheduled on August 17, and the ARNEC Nursing Program, which will begin on August 18.

Health, safety and convenience to our communities are our primary goals, " said Dr. Chris Lorch, vice president of academics. "The postponement of the semester start date is important for our faculty and staff for preparation, but importantly, for our students and families as we navigate the adjustments to the upcoming school year. "

Ozarka College has been diligent to appropriately modify the classrooms and labs to ensure a safe learning environment for students. There have also been many policies and procedures put in place to ensure that everyone will feel safe coming to the campuses.

Please watch Ozarka College's website and social media for more information as the semester comes closer. In the meantime, if more information is needed, please emailstudentsupport@ozarka.edu, or call the admissions staff at 870.368.2300.
