Christina Nicosia Hired as Culinary Instructor at Ozarka College

Ozarka College is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Christina Nicosia as the new Culinary Instructor. Nicosia, who is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, holds a Master's in Organizational Leadership from Columbia Southern College. Her credentials include Certified Executive Pastry Chef (C.E.P.C.), Certified Culinary Educator (C.C.E.), and Lead Pastry Culinary Evaluator (C.E.), through the American Culinary Federation. She also holds Foodservice Management Professional (F.M.P.), through the National Restaurant Association (N.R.A.).

 

"Chef Christina's cooking style is simple yet elegant and full of flavor. Her goal in creating dishes is to make them fun and unforgettable. We are very happy to have her at Ozarka College," said Dr. Amy Lynn Queret-Mitchell, Director of Culinary Programs at Ozarka College.

Chef Nicosia was voted Presidents Award 1996, Chef of the Year 1998, Culinary Educator of the Year 2003, Chapter newsletter Editor, and Louisiana Gold Culinary Classic Co-Chair for three years with the New Orleans A.C.F. chapter. She held the office of Certification Chair with the Baton Rouge A.C.F. Chapter. Chef Nicosia is a strong supporter of children's charity events and believes in lifelong education "never stop learning. "
