Institutional Services Assistant-Ash Flat

Ozarka College seeks applicants for a full time Institutional Services Assistant at the Ash Flat site.  This is an evening position Monday thru Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.   Deadline for submitting applications is Friday, September 2, 2016 or when an acceptable candidate has been selected.


Position Description: 


The Institutional Services Assistant is responsible for the general cleaning of buildings, classrooms, conference rooms, lecture halls, student center, offices, and other areas as required.  Typical functions will be removing and proper disposal of trash.  Wipe furniture such as desk tops, tables, computer equipment, and other surfaces, including clean walls, windows, window sills, and entry ways.  Daily responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning all restrooms and fixtures, stock restrooms with soap and paper products.  As needed this person will be required to buff floors, strip and wax floors, shampoo carpets, perform general grounds maintenance and other duties as requested or assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the responsibilities and skill required to fulfill the position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Previous experience in janitorial or housekeeping
