Networking Essentials Class Achievement

Published on December 15, 2017

Ozarka College's fall 2017 Networking Essentials class concluded the semester on a high note. Every student that took the final exam met or exceeded the score required to earn the Network Pro certification!  This opportunity is available for Ozarka students working to obtain an Associate of Applied Science degree in Information Science Technology (IST).

The TestOut Network Pro exam tests over many objectives relating to networking; cables and connectors, networking devices, Ethernet, IP configuration, wireless networking, network management, and network security. Ozarka is pleased with the 100 % pass rate and is proud of each of these students.

"The networking class, and all Ozarka IST classes, include a strong hands-on focus, " said Ken Barton, Ozarka College IST program director. "We believe that learning computers and networking require a practical approach. Not only will you learn the concepts, you will do the actual work in a lab environment. "

For more information, please contact Mr. Barton at 870.994.7273 or email: ken.barton@ozarka.edu. Ozarka's current IST degree program will soon be expanding to offer additional courses and a transferrable Associate of Science degree.
