Published on October 23, 2017

Ozarka College will offer a holiday cooking class through the continuing education program on November 4, 2017. The class will take place in the Ozarka Caf`, located in the Student Services Center, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required.

The holiday cooking class will be taught by Ozarka College's Culinary Arts Program Director, Steven R. Raymond, CEC, CCE, MBA. Students will learn health and safety tips concerning food safety during the holiday season, get to take part in the production of holiday themed side dishes, and have the opportunity to taste other items that have been pre-made by Chef Raymond. Take home recipes will also be included.

This course highlights the mission as an educational resource in the community with education on safety, cooking, and basic sanitation in an environment that is caring and responsive to the health issues experienced during the holidays, concerning food safety and preparation methods for keeping food safe for students and their family members.

Students should be 12 years of age or older. For more information or to register, please contact Candace Killian at Ozarka College by calling 870.368.2003 or email: ckillian@ozarka.edu. The cost is $25 per person and seating is limited.
