Highland Computing Makes Donation

Published on October 31, 2017

Highland Computing in Highland, Arkansas has graciously donated computer hard drives to Ozarka College. Students are currently able to earn a Technical Certificate in Information Science Technology (IST) at Ozarka College - Ash Flat, but will soon be able to enroll in a newly approved Computer Forensics Essentials class that these drives will be used in. Ozarka also plans to offer an Associate of Science degree in IST, beginning in the fall semester of 2018.

"Computer forensics and cyber security are such growing fields that we felt it was necessary to develop this class, " commented Ken Barton, Ozarka College IST program coordinator. "This course will give students the firsthand knowledge and the hands on skills that employers are demanding. "

Representatives from Highland Computing also serve on Ozarka's IST program advisory board. The time they volunteer to help improve student learning is much appreciated! For more information about IST classes at Ozarka College, please call Ken Barton at 870.994.7273 or email: ken.barton@ozarka.edu.
